Mr Guy T. Smith has been running private ophthalmology in Swindon for over 10 years. He has now opened Matrix Eye Clinic, a private ophthalmology clinic situated in the heart of Wiltshire, which is the only institution in the area with its own state of the art, purpose-built surgical eyecare operating theatre.

The clinic and our team have a proven track record of providing exceptional results for patients receiving care for cataracts, glaucoma, dry and wet eyes, and retina screening. We also offer additional support for patients with macular and retina problems, including Advanced Macular Degeneration.

Our expert Ophthalmologist, Mr Guy T. Smith, was trained at the world-leading Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, and specialises in cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange, dry eye and glaucoma management.

OUR OPERATING THEATRE

Matrix Eye Clinic not only has its own consulting and diagnostic rooms; we are delighted to announce that it now boasts a state of the art, fully equipped surgical operating theatre. This means that patients who require cataract surgery can be seen quickly, and have their operation scheduled within days of their first appointment.

Using the experience of our surgeon and theatre sister, we have ensured that our operating suite can cater to the needs of all our patients undergoing eye surgery.

ACCESSIBILITY

Ease of access for patients is at the heart of the design of Matrix Eye Clinic. The entire building has wheelchair access, and we’ve built a dedicated free car park, a patient lift, and had all doors adjusted to allow for wheelchair users.

In February 2022 Matrix Eye Clinic achieved its Care Quality Commission (CQC) certification. The CQC is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England, and they monitor, inspect and regulate services.
